In 1998 Davis Property & Investment was founded by Bill and Jeff Davis. The early part of the company’s existence consisted of mostly property management assignments, and soon grew into multiple development projects simultaneously. DPI was one of the first pioneers buying land in the very young sub-market of Sumner, located in Pierce County,and at the time, a tertiary market of Lacey, in Thurston County. Taking advantage of demand in the Puget Sound region at large, DPI had its first four buildings under development simultaneously in Lacey and Sumner in 1999/2000. In addition to the development projects, DPI continued to add to its portfolio by acquiring investment properties in the more mature primary markets. Over each of the next five years, DPI was awarded as one of the 100 fastest growing companies in Washington, and honored to be on the Puget Sound Business Journal’s fastest growing company Hall of Fame list.
